Fair Park tours

Friends of Fair Park arranges guided walking tours of Fair Park a few times throughout the year. When tours are scheduled, they will appear below with links to register for free. If you have a group that would like a private tour, please contact us.

NO GROUP TOURS SCHEDULED AT THIS TIME - PLEASE CHECK BACK AFTER CURRENT GUIDELINES ARE LIFTED.

PLEASE FOLLOW THE SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES WHEN TOURING FAIR PARK ON YOUR OWN.

Self guided tours (audio and text)

Take your time. Most of Fair Park has been waiting since 1936 for you to get here. You can take a self-guided audio tour and listen along to the audio descriptions found below. Each link will open on your device so you can listen. If you prefer to read about each one, you can click on the (read) link next to each item. You can follow along and learn about Fair Park as you stroll at your own pace. We added a map below for you to aid in identifying the buildings, structures, statues, and plaques - the item numbers correspond to the map.

These recordings are from our 2015 cell phone tour, the information is valid, however, some names may have changed. The one correction to be noted is in regard to the Promenade Bricks, the current price is $75 per brick, not the $45 stated in the recording.

Fair Park is managed by Fair Park First and Spectra. Visit www.fairpark.org for daily operating hours and event information.

* Walking throughout the park is free most days unless there is a special event or during the State Fair of Texas.
